Treeless Saddles for Icelandic Horses
iceryder
Icelandic Horses tend to be mutton-withered, and their back conformation can range from A-frame to wide barrel, with a spine that is either an "out-y" or an "in-y", as well as being short-backed, or even sometimes long-backed.

With so much diversity, treed saddles, particularly the "icelandic" saddles being quite narrow, are hard to fit the horses well.

The saving grace for the Icelandic Horse has been the treeless saddle, particularly the Sensation:

There are many styles and lots of options (many pictures at the above link).  Check it out and see what fits your discipline and your Icelandic Horse.

Charm Weaves the Barrels
iceryder
Charm is a three-year-old Icelandic Horse filly who is being trained at home with natural horsemanship and clicker training. We're doing some weaving of the barrels / obstacles, which are trash cans and she likes to check them out, look in them, and smell them. We don't want to destroy her curiosity and she's just a young horse, so no rush in getting things perfect.

I am still recovering from a broken leg and am weaning off of the brace. I'm still stiff and lack range of motion, but working on it.
